1:Cedar Rapids, Iowa - March 6, 2009 - In the opening day of the 2009 Division III Wrestling Championships, Chris Brown was defeated in his first two matches as he was eliminated from competition from the 285 pound weight class on Friday.In his first round match against fifth-seeded Mark Corsello from Elmhurst, Brown fell 10-8 in overtime. Corsello took Brown down in the first minute of the overtime session en route to the two-point victory.
In his second match, Brown was eliminated from the competition after being pinned in 1:51 by Adam Sutter from Lakeland.
Jason Holder will enter his third season as head wrestling coach in 2013. Holder had a standout first season at the helm of the Pride, leading Springfield to the NEWA Duals Championship and taking three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.
