Women's Indoor Track 12th at New Englands
GORHAM, Maine, Feb. 16, 2002 - - Springfield College junior
Erin Pac (Farmington, Conn.) claimed winning honors in the pentathlon to highlight the Pride's 12th place finish at Saturday's New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship at Gorham.
Pac totalled 3,122 points to win the pentathlon competition. Sophomore
Marisa Clapp (Winchendon, Mass.) finished third in the 1500 meter final (4:37.60) for the Pride.
Wheaton College won the team title with 188.5 points. Williams College (152), Keene State (53), Tufts University (49), and Amherst College (46) rounded out the top five. Springfield finished with 21 points.

Jim Pennington enters his 29th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2012-2013. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
