Women’s Soccer Upends Brandeis, 3-2, In Overtime
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 21 2002 – Springfield College sophomore forward
Jessica Kovacs (Dalton, Mass.) blasted a goal in the 99th minute to give the Pride a thrilling, 3-2, overtime victory over Brandeis this afternoon at Brock-Affleck Field.

Molly Desroches (Belchertown, Mass.) opened the scoring early when she snuck a ball past the Brandeis keeper in the 7th minute. SC senior midfielder
Bonnie Roberts (Belchertown, Mass.) smashed a free kick from just outside the penalty area for the Pride’s second goal in the 83rd minute.

Jena Goodman (Marblehead, Mass.) sent the game to overtime with a goal in the 85th minute.
The Pride improve to 2-3 this fall and host Amherst College, which was last season’s national runner-up, at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brandeis falls to 4-1 on the season.
