DANBURY, Conn., September 30, 2003 - Springfield College sophomore goalkeeper
Christina Davis (Orange, Conn.) recorded five saves, but it wasn't enough as the Pride fell to host Western Connecticut State University on Tuesday, 1-0.
Western Connecticut sophomore forward Nicole Corbin scored the lone goal of the game in the 72nd minute off a feed from senior Rebecca Buffinton. The Colonials improve to 7-3-2 on the season.

Cari Capodiece (Kensington, Conn.) and sophomore forward
Amanda Nealon (Falmouth, Mass.) both had shots blocked by Western goalkeeper, Kristen Bartholomew, in the final minutes of play.
SC falls to 4-4-1 on the season and will next be at Wesleyan on Thursday, October 2.
