



Springfield, Mass. - November 1, 2010 - After a standout performance in his first meet at Springfield, senior Brooks Farrar was recognized as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Diver of the Week.A native of Medfield, Mass., Farrar completed the sweep of the diving competition in his first meet for Springfield after transferring in from Middlebury. In the dual meet with Holy Cross, Farrar scored 305.07 in the one-meter and, in the three-meter, he totaled a score of 309.38. With his scores, Farrar met the national qualifying marks on both boards.
Farrar and the Pride will next be back at home on Saturday to host the University of Rhode Island at 1:00 pm.

John Taffe enters his 24th season in 2012-2013 as the head coach of the men's and women's swimming teams at Springfield College. Under Taffe’s leadership, the Pride has returned to its status as one of the best collegiate swimming and diving programs in Division III. Read more.
