Springfield, Mass. - January 27, 2012 - For the third consecutive year, the Springfield College women's gymnastics team will be holding its "Tumble for Teal" meet, geared at raising awareness for gynecological cancers.
This year's event will take place on Sunday, February 5 when the Pride take on SUNY Cortland at 1:00 pm.
All donations made during the meet will be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Center and Team Maureen, a group founded in memory of SC gymnast Maureen Duffey ’91. For more information about Team Maureen visit http://www.teammaureen.com/.
Teal bracelets will be on sale throughout the meet, while there will be an information desk at the meet to provide any answers to questions you may have. In addition, the Springfield College women's gymnastics team will be wearing teal leotards for the meet.
Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the day, with a grand prize of an Kindle. Spectators will also be able to help raise money for awareness by sponsoring the Springfield College gymnastics team through pledges for routine scores of 8.5 to 10.0.
