Springfield, Mass. - February 7, 2013 - Due to the impending snow storm in the New England area, several Springfield College athletics events have been either postponed or cancelled. Please check back for any potential changes moving forward.Men's basketball will now square off with WPI on Sunday, February 10 at 2:00 pm, while the women's basketball contest originally scheduled for Saturday February 9 at 1:00 pm will take place on Monday, February 11th at 6:00 pm
The men's volleyball match originally scheduled for Friday, February 8 at 7:00 pm vs Rivier has been postponed until March 26th at 6:00 pm. In addition, the men's volleyball match at Emmanuel originally scheduled for Saturday, February 9 at 2:00pm has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 10 at 1:30pm.
Both the men's and women's track and field teams will not be competing this weekend, while the women's gymnastics meet slated for Sunday, February 10 at Brown has been cancelled.
The wrestling team's competition at Plymouth State scheduled for Saturday, February 9 has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 10 at 11:00am.
The men's basketball junior varisty contest originally slated for Saturday, February 9 vs STCC at 4:00 pm has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
The men's lacrosse scrimmage scheduled for 10:00 am against Merrimack on Saturday, February 9 has been postponed until Tuesday, February 12 at 6:00 pm.
