



Springfield, Mass. -- March 1, 2013 -- Head Coach Charlie Brock and senior guard Alex Berthiaume of the Springfield College men's basketball team are scheduled to guest on 1450 The Hall radio this afternoon (Fri., Mar. 1) as the team continues to prepare for its NCAA tournament game Saturday versus Ithaca. Brock and Berthiaume can be heard at 4 pm on 1450-AM.The Pride (19-8) will host the Bombers from Ithaca (19-8) in Blake Arena Saturday at 7 pm. It will be SC's first NCAA tournament appearance since 2005. It marks Brock's third NCAA tournament appearance in his 15 seasons at SC.
Berthiaume, a native of Springfield, Mass., is a graduate of Springfield Cathedral High School. A business administration major, Alex averaged 17.5 points and 2.5 rebounds this past season in leading his squad to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference championship game. He was recently named NEWMAC First Team all-conference for the second straight year.

Charlie Brock in 2012-13 will enter his 15th season as the head coach at Springfield College and his 33rd season as a head coach overall. Brock’s achievements as a coach are certainly impressive. He has taken three schools to the NCAA Division III Tournament and has an overall, 32-year record of 440-397. Read more.
