Women's Cross Country Finishes Seventh At UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. Sept. 20 - Springfield College senior
Marisa Clapp (Charlton, Mass.) ran to first place at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational to lead the Pride to seventh-place in the 28-team field.
Clapp's time of 17:24 was good enought for her third-consecutive victory. She finished first at the Amherst Invitational on Sept. 6 and won the Middlebury Invitational on Sept. 13.
Sophomore
Megan Young (Hurley, N.Y.) finished in 17th place in a time of 18:40 for Springfield.

Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
