Houston, Texas - March 22, 2013 - Springfield College's 800 free relay team set a new program record to garner Honorable Mention All-America honors on Friday evening at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
After three days of competition, the Pride are 15th in the nation with 53 points.
The team of Callie Phillips, Amanda Shaw, Ashleigh Monroe, and Kellie Pennington earned Springfield's second relay Honorable Mention All-America honor of the week after posting a time of 7:36.85 to finish 12th in the nation.
Earlier this year, Kelsey Poole, Phillips, Monroe, Pennington set the program mark of 7:39.33.
In today's one-meter event, the Jennifer Thompson finished 19th out of 24 divers with a score of 385.70. She did not qualify to move onto the evening finals session.
Thompson previously captured the regional championships on both boards earlier in the month, and took fifth on the three-meter board on Wednesday.
