Myhren, a junior halfback, ran for a career-high 150 yards and two touchdowns on just 11 carries, averaging 13.6 yards per carry. He also caught two passes for 46 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown reception and finished with 230 all-purpose yards.
Burrell returned a punt 63 yards for a touchdown and setup another score on a 54-yard kickoff return in the win. The two big returns occurred within a span of 1:45 in the third quarter just after King’s had cut the lead to 23-17. Burrell finished with 138 return yards on two punt returns and two kick returns.
The Pride will now enjoy its bye week before it will open up Empire 8 conference play at Alfred on September 26.
