Women's Soccer Downs Mount Holyoke, 2-0
Oct. 5, 2004 - Springfield College senior Molly Desroches (Belchertown, Mass.)
netted her team-leading seventh goal of the season to lead the Pride over Mount Holyoke College, 2-0, in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women’s soccer match this afternoon at Brock-Affleck Field.
Desroches struck at the 9:20 mark in the match off of a feed from SC junior Courtney Goetz (Flemington, N.J.).
The Pride put the game out of reach when senior Meg McTear (Barre, Vt.)
tallied her second goal of the season with just :03 left in the opening half.
SC senior goalkeeper Christina Davis (Orange, Conn.)
stopped three shots while junior keeper Tiffany Picard (Belmont, N.H.) saved five for the Lyons.
The Pride returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 7, when it hosts Wesleyan at 4:30 on Brock-Affleck Field.
