Springfield, Mass. - March 31, 2012 - Rain in the area has postponed both baseball and softball action originally scheduled for Saturday, March 31. The softball team will now host Wellesley on Sunday, April 1 for a conference doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm. The baseball team will travel on Sunday to play Clark University for a pair of games kicking off at 12:00 pm.Softball had previously been rained out this week for a non-conference matchup with Keene State. That game, which was supposed to be played on April 1, will be rescheduled as well for a date that has yet to be determined.
Julie Perrelli enters her fourth season at the helm of the Springfield College softball program and as an assistant professor of physical education. In her first three seasons in the dugout for the Pride, Perelli has guided Springfield to two NEWMAC Championship title games. Read more.
