Bazzano Earns Weekly Player of the Week Honors

Bazzano Earns Weekly Player of the Week Honors Babson Park, Mass. - March 29, 2010 - Senior Allie Bazzano was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week as well as the ECAC Division III New England Co-Offense Player of the Week after guiding the Pride to a pair of wins against Keene State and MIT last week.

On Tuesday in the Pride's 16-8 win over Keene State, the Newington, Conn. native tallied four goals and an assist as she became the 10th player in program history to score 100 career goals. She also added four ground balls and three caused turnovers in the victory.

In the Pride’s conference opener Saturday, a 17-13 win over MIT, the senior midfielder was unstoppable as she pumped in seven goals on nine shots to go along with four draw controls and a pair of ground balls.

For the week, she was 4-for-4 on free position shots and scored 11 goals and just 16 shots.

Bazzano and the Pride return to action as it plays its second game of a four-game home stand on Tuesday evening against local-rival Amherst at 7:00 pm for a non-conference contest.
