



With the setback, the Pride is now 1-3 overall, and finishes its Florida stretch in countable matches at 1-2. Springfield has one remaining match in Florida that is considered an exhibition and will not count towards its record.
The Pride's lone victory came at No. 3 singles, where senior co-captain Rahul Bala (Enfield, Conn.) won his match by a score of 6-3, 7-5. All of the singles matches were determined in straight sets. The closest SC came to winning in doubles was at No. 1 doubles where junior Andrew Constant (Kingston, N.Y.) and senior co-captain Joe Lisi (Southbridge, Mass.) went down to defeat, 8-6.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
