



Hanover, N.H. -- August 1, 2011 -- Donald Brooks '02, G'08 , a former graduate assistant football coach at Springfield College, has been named an Assistant Athletics Director for Peak Performance at Dartmouth College. Brooks was a starter on the offensive line for the Pride as an undergrad.For the past five years, Brooks served in a variety of roles at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. He spent three years as Assistant Professor of Physical Education and Assistant Director of Athletics, while also serving as an assistant coach in football and men's lacrosse.
At Dartmouth, Brooks will also assist in academic support for student-athletes and other services for varsity athletes.
Prior to Williams, Brooks served as Athletic Director at the New Leadership Charter School in Springfield.
Brooks earned both his bachelor of arts degree and his master's degree from Springfield College in 2002 and 2008, respectively. He is a member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD).

Michael C. “Mike” DeLong ’74 enters his 31st season as a head football coach in the fall of 2012. He enters his 29th year at Springfield College alone. For the past 28 years, he has been the head coach at Springfield, his alma mater. Mike had also been the head coach at Maine Maritime in Castine, Maine in 1979 and 1980. Read more.
