Springfield, Mass. - September 29, 2011 - The Springfield College women's cross country team will have a weekend off from competition after the Keene State College Cross Country Invitational scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1 was been cancelled due to poor running conditions on the trails at Owl Athletic Complex.The Pride will next run at the New England Championships in Boston's Franklin Park on October 8.
Jim Pennington enters his 29th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2013. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
