



Babson Park, Mass. - March 26, 2012 - First-year Ellie Getchell was chosen as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after spearheading Springfield's defensive efforts in a 2-0 week.On Tuesday, the Franklin, Mass. native totaled two caused turnovers and two ground balls as a member of Springfield's defense that held Keene State to just 12 shots for the entire game.
In Saturday's conference opener, Getchell posted four ground balls and two caused turnovers and was instrumental in Springfield's second-half comeback as the Pride held Wheaton without a goal for the final 19:04 of regulation.


Kristen Mullady ‘00, enters her fiffth season as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Springfield College. A former standout for Springfield’s women’s lacrosse team, Mullady led Springfield to back to back NEWMAC titles in 2012 and 2013. Read more.
