Levings helped in leading the Pride to the NECC championship title by shooting a two-day total of 149 including a tournament low-round two over par 73 in Sunday's final round. The victory gave Springfield the first NECC golf championship title in conference history.
Springfield teamates Michael Lajoie (Enfield, Conn.) and Craig DiFranco (East Longmeadow, Mass.) were able to join Levings on the 2008 All- Conference first team with their top five finishes. LaJoie earned runner up honors shooting a 154 (76-78) in the tournament, while Difranco shot a tally of 161(81-80) to claim the final first-team spot in fifth place.
Joe Eadie enters his 20th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. He also lead the Pride to their first NCAA Division III Championship in program history. Read more.
