Women's Tennis Posts 9-0 Shutout Over WPI
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., September 30, 2003- Springfield College senior
Melissa Boyington (Vernon, Conn.) posted a straight-set victory (6-4, 6-3) at #2 singles and teamed up with junior
Aimee Dalenta (Tolland, Conn.) to win #1 doubles as the Pride defeated WPI, 9-0, in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference women’s tennis match at Appleton Courts Tuesday.
Freshman
Suzanne Caiati (New Canaan, Conn.) won at #1 singles and #2 doubles, as well as
Marissa Giamio (Garden City, N.Y.) winning at #2 doubles and #3 singles.
The Pride improves to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the NEWMAC. WPI drops to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
