Women's Soccer To Host Elite Soccer Summer Camp in August

Head Coach John Gibson Springfield, Mass. - June 9, 2014 - The Springfield College women's soccer team will host an Elite Soccer Summer Camp in August, for college-bound soccer players.

The three-day overnight camp will run from August 8th to August 10th. The camp is designed to provide the college-bound soccer player with the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to succeed on and off the field at the collegiate level. Players will be exposed to the four corners of performance development through physical, technical/tactical, psychological and social education. They will utilize on field and interactive classroom based seminars to create a positive learning experience that is both enjoyable and challenging.

In three days, the camp will cover what a typical week during the season would be like, including practices, tactical sessions, games, video review as well as sessions with athletic counselors and strength coaches.

The camp registration fee is $395 and includes meals and housing. Campers will be housed in a traditional college residence hall and Cheney Hall will be open for all meals, all you care to eat.
