



Box ScoreNorth Dartmouth, Mass. - October 9, 2012 - The Springfield College women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw in double overtime against the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in a non-conference match at Cressy Field Tuesday evening.
UMass Dartmouth moves to 9-2-2 with the tie, while Springfield moves to 7-4-1.
Defensively, UMD was led by junior goalkeeper Krista Chauvin, who registered her ninth shutout of the season. senior Erin Greenstein made five saves for Springfield.
With the shutout, Greenstein became the program's all-time leader in shutouts as has posted 25 in her career. She eclipsed Sue Jenney's mark of 24 that was set from 2005-08.
The Pride outshot the Corsairs, 20-8, as both Nicole Fowler and Nina Vital posted five shots each.
Springfield will now prep for a key conference game against MIT on Saturday. First whistle is set for 1:00 pm.
John Gibson, a native of London, England, enters his 14th season as head women's soccer at Springfield College in the fall of 2013. Gibson has led the Pride to the NCAA Tournament in six of the last eight years and has established the Pride as one of the top programs in the country. His clubs have registered an impressive a 165-75-21 record.
