Clapp Runs To 11th Place at New Englands
BOSTON, Mass., Oct. 11, 2002- Springfield College junior
Marisa Clapp (Charlton, Mass.) placed 11th in a field of 282 Division I, II and III runners at the 2002 New England Cross Country Championship at Franklin Park.
Clapp posted a time of 17:48. to lead the Pride to a 22nd place finish out of 42 teams. Boston College, which is ranked fifth nationally among Division I team, won the team title.

Meghan Young (Hurley, N.Y.) turned in a very solid performance in her first time at the event, placing 122nd overall (19:34). Close behind Young were teammates
Jennifer Saucier (Derry, N.H.) and
Kelley Henry (Whitinsville, Mass.), who finished in a tie for 127th place (19:36).
