Field Hockey Falls In Overtime At Middlebury, 3-2
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Sept. 18, 2002 - Springfield College sophomore back
Kim Stevens (Orth Knox, Maine) and junior forward
Brianne Tompkins (Stormville, N.Y.) scored goals but Middlebury came away with a 3-2 overtime victory against the Pride (3-2).
The Panthers (2-1) opened a two-goal lead in the first half before Stevens' goal cut the lead in half with 19:45 to play in the first half, and Tompkins' goal knotted the score with 3:15 remaining in the game to force overtime.
Middlebury junior forward Missy Krempa scored the game-winning goal 3:22 into overtime for the victory.
