Fuller Finishes Ninth in Steeplechase at NCAA Championships

Delaware, Ohio - May 27, 2011 - Brian Fuller had a standout performance in his final collegiate race as he placed ninth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships on Friday evening.

Fuller ran the race in 9:13.04, just missing out on earning All-America honors as the top eight runners take home the accolade. Kent Pecora of Dickinson College won the national championship in the event with a time of 8:51.85.

The local product from Ludlow, Mass., Fuller competed for the first time in the NCAA Track Championships. Fuller went into the race with the 14th fastest qualifying time, 9:12.64, in the 19-man field.
