



Complete ResultsIthaca, N.Y. - December 2, 2012 - The Springfield College men's swimming and diving team concluded its weekend at the Ithaca Invitational on Sunday as it finished fourth among 11 teams competing.
Cornell cruised to the overall title with 1,837 points, while host Ithaca finished second with a three-day total of 1,080.5. Hartwick placed third with 905, while the Pride was fourth after scoring 835 points.
In the final day of competition, Phillip Murphy swam a 17:30.93 in the 1,650 freestyle, while Jason Scotto registered a 48.49 in the 100 free.
Travis Morse had a strong showing in the 200 back after touching eighth in 1:59.10. Michael Normoyle had the Pride's best individual finish on the day, as he placed fourth in the 200 breast in 2:09.86.
The Pride closed out the meet competing in the 400 free relay. Scotto, Normoyle, Scott Peters, and Nolan Manley swam a 3:14.47 to finish sixth in the event.
Springfield will return to dual meet competition on Saturday when it hosts Middlebury at 1:00 pm.
