Mankus Selected For NEISL Senior All-Star Game

John Mankus Springfield, Mass. – November 13, 2013 - The Springfield College men’s soccer team will be represented at the 2013 Division III New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star Game in December.

John Mankus (Vernon, Conn.) was selected to participate in the all-star game that will be hosted by Harvard University on Sunday, December 1 at noon.

The senior helped anchor a defense that posted nine shutouts this season, tied for the most in Division III program history.

This year, the Pride totaled 45 goals, another D-III program record, and allowed just 17. The team's 13 wins was the most wins since the 1999 squad won 15.

In his four-year career, Mankus played in 74 games, starting in 62. The defender tallied five goals, four assists and 14 points. In his career, Mankus helped lead the Pride to two New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship appearances and a NEWMAC title in 2011.
