BOSTON, Mass. Feb. 14 - Springfield College junior
Marisa Clapp (Charleton, Mass.) finished second in the 5,000-meter run with a personal-best 17 minute, 21.02 second clocking to lead the Pride at the St. Valentine's Day Invitational at Boston University. The meet included Division I, II, III and open competitors from around the East Coast.
An All-American in the event last winter, Clapp's time met the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championship this season. She was one of only three Division III runners in the race.

Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
