No. 18 Men's Lacrosse Holds On For 11-10 Win At Bates

LEWISTON, Maine, March 28 - Springfield College freshman attackman
Taylor Brown (Portsmouth, R.I.) registered three goals and two assists as the No. 18 Pride held on for an 11-10 victory at Bates College, Sunday.
Neither team had more than a one-goal lead until late in the third quarter, when Bates' Peter Friedman scored back-to-back goals in under a minute to put the Bobcats up, 7-5, with 5:50 to play in the third quarter.
The Pride responded with five unanswered goals, including a pair to start the run by senior midfielder
Craig Gibson (South Salem, N.Y.) over a :37 second span, to break the game open, 10-7, with 12:01 remaining in the game.
Bates would score three of the game's final four goals, including two more by Friedman, but Brown's third goal of the game with 3:43 remaining proved to be the game-winner.

Kyle Cloutier (South Hadley, Mass.) made 10 saves in goal for the Pride (3-3). Gibson finished the game with three goals, while senior attackman
Paul Purdy (Brewster, N.Y.) added two goals and an assist.
