Natasha Landon Sets New Pole Vault Record For Women's Track & Field Team
NEW HAVEN, Conn., March 5, 2005 – Springfield College junior
Natasha Landon (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) surpassed her previous polem vault school record by clearing 10 feet, 10 3/4 inches to earn second place this past weekend at the Trinity Last Chance Track and Field Invitational, hosted by Yale University.
SC junior
Christina Davis (Orance, Conn.) captured first place in the weight-throw with a toss of 47-7.75
On the men’s side, senior captain
Matt Acciaioli (Warwick, R.I.) placed first and sophomore
Alex Kampersal (Natick, Mass.) took second in the shot-put with distances of 53-5 and 49-1 1/2, respectively.
SC senior
Justin Welch (Woburn, Mass.) cleared 6-4 3/4 to place second in the high jump.
