SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 15, 2004 – Wesleyan University sophomore forward Peter Glidden scored the lone goal of the match as the Cardinals defeated Springfield College, 1-0, in a non-conference match this afternoon on Brock-Affleck Field.

SC junior goalkeeper David Minkoff (Oceanside, N.Y.) stopped seven shots in the game, while Wesleyan senior goalkeeper Dan Penrod saved four.

Glidden’s match-winning goal in the 83rd minute was assisted by senior back Evan Bissell and sophomore forward Jared Ashe.
