Football To Hold Breast Cancer Awareness Day on Saturday Springfield, Mass. - October 10, 2012 - The Springfield College football program will be holding their breast cancer awareness day on Saturday at 2:00 pm when the Pride takes on the Merchant Marine Academy during Homecoming weekend.

The team will be selling pink t-shirts and limited edition pink helmets for $20 each. All proceeds from the sales will go to the Dana Farber Institute.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game as both the Springfield College coaching staff and players will be in pink apparel.

If you are interested in buying a t-shirt in advance, please contact the Coach John Ward in the football office.

Springfield College football would like to thank Stadium Systems for their generous support of this weekend's breast cancer awareness game.

Head Coach Mike DeLong

Head Coach Mike DeLong Michael C. “Mike” DeLong ’74 enters his 32nd season as a head football coach in the fall of 2013. He enters his 30th year at Springfield College alone. For the past 28 years, he has been the head coach at Springfield, his alma mater. Mike had also been the head coach at Maine Maritime in Castine, Maine in 1979 and 1980. Read more.
