



JAFFREY, N.H., October 21, 2005 - Springfield College's Kyle Fijalkowski carded a team-best 90 as the Pride finished fifth out of seven competing teams at this afternoon's (Oct. 21) Franklin Pierce College Autumn Invitational, hosted at the very challenging, par-71, The Shattuck golf course in cold, wet and windy conditions in Jaffrey, N.H.
SC combined for a team total of 380 strokes for the fifth-place finish, as Elms College posted a 335 team score to take the championships by just a single stroke over UMass Lowell (336). MCLA finished third, coming in at 340 as a team.
The Pride's Bryan Anderson was right behind Fijalkowski for the team-lead, shooting a 91, while Michael Lajoie finished the round with a 95. SC's Bob Canlin and Kyle Hicks rounded out the top five for the Pride, shooting 104 and 105, respectively.
Next up on the schedule for SC is the Toski Invitational, as the Pride will head to Amherst, Mass., to compete on Sunday and Monday, October 23-24.
