



2011 Tumble for Teal Meet (.pdf)Springfield, Mass. - January 24, 2011 - For the second consecutive year, the Springfield College women's gymnastics team will be holding its "Tumble for Teal" meet, geared at raising awareness for gynecological cancers.
This year's event will take place on Sunday, January 30 when the Pride take on Ithaca College at 1:00 pm.
All donations made during the meet will be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Center and Team Maureen, a group founded in memory of SC gymnast Maureen Duffey ’91. For more information about Team Maureen visit www.myspace.com/teammaureen.
Teal bracelets will be on sale throughout the meet, while there will be an information desk at the meet to provide any answers to questions you may have. In addition, the Springfield College women's gymnastics team will be wearing teal leotards for the meet.
Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the day, with a grand prize of an I-Pad. Spectators will also be able to help raise money for awareness by sponsoring the Springfield College gymnastics team through pledges for routine scores of 8.5 to 10.0.



Cheryl Raymond, who will be entering her 33rd year as women's gymnastics coach and assistant professor of physical education at Springfield College in 2012-2013, is one of the top college coaches in the region. Read more.
