Springfield College's team GPA was 3.163, fourth best nationally. The top 10 schools included William & Mary with a 3.530 GPA. Temple was second at 3.479. Minnesota was third at 3.204, followed by Springfield (3.163), and Stanford (3.104). Rounding out the top 10 were Michigan (3.096), Nebraska (3.083), Penn State (3.078), Army (3.058), and Oklahoma (2.982).
A total of 73 gymnasts were named First Team All-American Scholar-Athletes among individuals, 10 from Springfield. The 10 included McCabe (3.90 or above), Joe Carlson, Brian Cogan. and Patrick Ryther (3.80 to 3.899), Ian Crider, Andrew Grabowski, and Jeffrey White (3.70 to 3.799); Jimmy Pezzino (3.60 to 3.699), and Patrick Hanley and Kelvin Soares (3.50 to 3.599).
Two more SC gymnasts were among 52 student-athletes named to the CGA All-America Scholar-Athlete Second Team. They were Christopher Jost and Ryan Ponce.
