Eastern Connecticut Downs Women's Soccer, 2-1
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept 14, 2002- Springfield College sophomore
Molly Desroches (Belchertown, Mass.) scored her first goal of the season but Eastern Connecticut State took a 2-1 overtime win in a non-conference women’s soccer match at Brock-Affleck Field.
Junior Jessy Michelin (Monroe, Conn.) scored the game winner in the 91st minute as the Warriors improved to 4-1 overall. Freshman Meghann Booth (Windsor Locks, Conn.) tallied Eastern Connecticut’s first goal of the game in the 34th minute. Junior goalkeeper Stacey Schofield (Woodstock, Conn.) made seven saves.
Desroches scored the Pride’s only goal off a feed from senior
Ali Gilbert (Greenwich, Conn.) in the 45th minute.
The Pride, which is 1-3 overall, host Brandeis on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.

John Gibson, a native of London, England, enters his 13th season as head women's soccer at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Gibson has led the Pride to the NCAA Tournament in five of the last seven years and has established the Pride as one of the top programs in the country.
