Men’s Tennis Falls To Wheaton, 6-1
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.,April 5, 2003—Springfield College junior
Yuta Yoshi (Yokosuka, Japan) took first place in #1 singles play, but the Pride lost to host Wheaton, 6-1 Saturday afternoon in a New England Women and Men’s Athletic Conference game.
Yoshi, teamed up with sophomore
Richard Aseltine (Tyngsboro, Mass.), also won #1 doubles, defeating Wheaton’s Matt Sheers and Scott Longmire, 8-9.
Wheaton’s Adam Wright and Nick Potter both won in singles and teamed up to win #2 doubles.
The Pride's next match will be Wed. April 9 on the Appleton Courts.
