SOUTH HADLEY, Mass., Oct. 5, 2004 - Springfield Colleg junior
Alisha Miner (Sanbornton, N.H.) scored the game's lone goal to lead the No. 8 Pride to a 1-0 win over Mount Holyoke this afternoon in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) field hockey action.
Miner scored her second goal in as many games off a free hit from junior
Amber Paradee (Sheldon, Vt) with 9:31 remaining in the second half to lead SC (10-2, 3-0 NEWMAC) to its first win over the defending NEWMAC Champions since 2001.

Lindsey Pardue (Houston Texas) made 10 saves to post her fourth shutout in 2004.
The Pride next hosts NEWMAC-rival Babson College on Saturday (Oct. 9) in a 1:00 p.m. match on Benedum Field.
