Women's Soccer Shocks Clark, 3-2, In Overtime

WORCESTER, Mass., October 25, 2003 - Springfield College senior forward
Laura Harwood (Longmeadow, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal in the fourth minute of overtime as the Pride defeated Clark University, 3-2, in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's soccer match this afternoon.
Springfield freshman forward
Annemarie Goodwin (Springfield, Mass.) assisted Harwood's winner.
SC rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to force overtime. Junior midfielder
Molly Desroches (Belchertown, Mass.) and junior forward
Jessica Kovacs (Dalton, Mass.) each scored within a five-minute span to even the match.
Springfield College sophomore midfielder
Nora Clark (Springfield, Mass.) assisted on both of the second half goals.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Christina Davis (Orange, Conn.) saved six shots in the 94 minutes of play.
SC improves to 8-7-2 on the season, and 5-2-1 in NEWMAC play. The Pride will play their final regular season match at Smith College on Tuesday October 28, at 2:30 p.m.
