Women's Swimming & Diving Defeats Central Conn., Falls to Southern Conn.

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Nov. 4 – Springfield College sophomore Megan Skinner (Acton, Mass.) swam to first place finish in the 200-yard backstroke while junior teammate Beth Byron (Haverhill, Mass.) was victorious in the 200-yard breaststroke as the Pride split a tri-meet with Southern Connecticut and Central Connecticut.

The Pride defeated Central Connecticut, 158-73, but fell to host Southern Connecticut, 128-109. Skinner touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:13.89 and Byron won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:35.93.

SC (2-1) travels to MIT this Saturday to take on the Engineers at 1 p.m.
