



Springfield, Mass. - May 4, 2009 - After a pair of tremendous performances in the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Tournament, Pat Cavanaugh has been selected as the Pilgrim Lacrosse Player of the Week.Cavanaugh had an outstanding week for the Pride as Springfield captured its second-straight Pilgrim League Championship. The senior led the squad with 10 goals and two assists, including the game-winner in the title game. He finished with six goals and two assists for eight points in the win over Babson in the semifinals, and then added four goals in the championship game against Wheaton. Cavanaugh made his shots count as he scored 10 goals on just 14 shots in two games last week.

Keith Bugbee enters his 30th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2013. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in the country. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 317-149 (.680 winning percentage). Read more.
