Men's Lacrosse Rolls Past MIT, 19-3

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., April 5, 2003 – Springfield College sophomore attackman
Dan Blinn (Longmeadow, Mass.) registered a career-high five goals and added an assist to lead the Pride to a 19-3 win over MIT in the Pilgrim Lacrosse League opener for both squads.
Springfield (3-4, 1-0 Pilgrim) jumped out to a 5-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back to beat the Engineers (2-2, 0-1 Pilgrim) and pick up its second win in three games.
Junior attackman
Paul Purdy (Brewster, N.Y.) totaled three goals and two assists while sophomore attackman
Shawn Cofrin (Londonderry, N.H.) tallied two goals and five assists for SC.
