Ithaca, N.Y. - February 2, 2013 - The Springfield College women's gymnastics team finished second in a tri-meet with Cortland and Ithaca on Saturday afternoon. The Pride totaled 183.800 on the afternoon, with Lauren Pocius capturing the all-around title.
Cortland finished first with a mark of 185.425, followed by the Pride's team score. Ithaca took third with a 181.725, marking the second-straight week that Springfield has bested the Bombers.
Pocius posted a score of 37.300 to win the all-around, while teammate Abby Clark finished second after totaling a 36.550.
On the vault, Kristin Feliu had a breakout performance as she scored a 9.525 to place third. Pocius finished as the runner-up in the uneven parallel bars after posting a 9.550.
The balance beam saw Springfield have three of the top five finishers. Clark's 9.550 was good enough for a tie for second, while Pocius placed fourth with a 9.325. Nicole Caradonna rounded out the top five with a 9.200.
Brittany Baglow tallied the Pride's best mark on the floor exercise, a sixth-place score of 9.375.
Next Sunday, Springfield will compete at Brown with Cortland, Bridgeport, and Rhode Island College.
