Men's Track and Field Competes In First Day of ECAC Championships

Anthony Salvucci Troy, N.Y. - May 17, 2012 - Zach Pietras took second in the 3,000 meter steeplechase to lead the Springfield College men's track and field team at the ECAC Division III Men's Track and Field Championships on Thursday afternoon.

Pietras was edged in the 3,000 meter steeplechase as he finished in second place in 9:02.27. The senior just missed out on the ECAC Championship by .44 seconds. In the 5,000 meter run, Anthony Salvucci was able to score for the Pride by placing eighth in 14:53.64.
