Serriello, a junior Sport Management major, was named NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week after he netted four goals and tacked on an assist to lead the Pride against the Engineers. Including a pair of three-goal games last week against Bowdoin and Wheaton College, Serriello has now posted 11 points in his last three games. Over the course of the season, the six-foot-one midfielder has tallied a team-leading 21 goals and two assists.
Fernandez, a senior Psychology major, was named the NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week after he went 18-for-22 from the faceoff "x" and scooped up 11 ground balls, securing valuable possessions that allowed for a late, two-goal rally and the 10-8 victory. On the year, Fernandez has now picked up a team-leading 55 ground balls and is now 101-for-164, winning 61.6 percent on the season.
The Pride's next game will be against Middlebury College on Wednesday, April 9. The game will begin at 5 p.m. and will be hosted on Springfield College's Stagg Field.
