



Springfield, Mass. - February 9, 2011 - The Springfield College men's basketball team will now host rival Western New England on Thursday evening at 7:30 pm in Blake Arena.The game was originally scheduled to be played at Western New England's Alumni Healthful Living Center (AHLC), but has been moved because of possible problems with the roof.
The Pride enter its final non-conference game of the season with a 13-8 record and winners of four straight. The Golden Bears own a 4-17 record this season, but have won three of their last four contests.
When these two teams played a year ago, Matt Cavalieri poured in a career-high 31 points, including a three to send it to overtime and a 12-foot jumper to win it, as the Pride battled past WNEC, 79-77, in overtime on Thursday night. Ryan Coburn recorded a triple double with 17 points, 11 blocks, and 10 rebounds for the Pride.

Charlie Brock in 2012-13 will enter his 15th season as the head coach at Springfield College and his 33rd season as a head coach overall. Brock’s achievements as a coach are certainly impressive. He has taken three schools to the NCAA Division III Tournament and has an overall, 32-year record of 440-397. Read more.
