Springfield, Mass. -- February 3, 2011 -- The Springfield College wrestling team defeated its counterparts from Western New England College, 35-6, in the first completed match of the City Wrestling Meet tonight at SC's Blake Arena. In match No. 2, American International College defeated WNEC, 39-12. In match #3, it was Springfield defeating AIC, 28-9. Double-winners for Springfield included Tom Casper (Bergenfield, N.J.) at 125 pounds, Eddie Giron (Bethpage, N.Y.) at 133, Ryan McGilvray (Manalapan, N.J.) at 149, and Ron Fusco (Billerica, Mass.) at heavyweight.
