Bristol, R.I. -- November 8, 2010 -- Ron Fusco of the Springfield College wrestling team has been named this year's first New England Wrestling Association Wrestler of the Week.Fusco was Springfield College's top performer at the Ithaca Invitational over the past weekend, a tournament in which Springfield finished fifth as a team.
Fusco, a senior from Billerica, Mass., went 5-0 in the tournament in the 285-pound weight classification.
Jason Holder will enter his third season as head wrestling coach in 2013. Holder had a standout first season at the helm of the Pride, leading Springfield to the NEWA Duals Championship and taking three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.
