Women's Volleyball Arrives in St. Louis For NCAA Division III Championship

St. Louis - November 16, 2011 - The Springfield College women's volleyball team arrived in St. Louis on Wednesday evening after a day of travel as it competes in the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship later on this week.

The Pride left Blake Arena at 10:30 am before flying out of Bradley International at 1:00 pm. From there, the Pride caught its connecting flight in Chicago before arriving in St. Louis at 4:30 pm.

After some down time in the hotel, the squad grabbed a bite to eat at Joe Bucks BBQ in downtown St. Louis before calling it a night.

Springfield will have an action-packed day on Thursday as it practices at 11:00 am at Washington University before doing some community service at the St. Patrick Center, which services the homeless in St. Louis, in the afternoon. The day will conclude with the NCAA Championship banquet in the evening, which will be highlighted by Pride having three student-athletes honored for being named All-Americans.

The Pride will finally hit the courts on Friday when it battles Carthage College at 3:00 pm, Central time.
