Two Men's Track and Field Athletes Compete at All New England Championships

Sean Nunan Boston, Mass. - February 23, 2013 - A pair of student-athletes from the Springfield College men's track and field team competed at the All-New England Championships on Saturday.

In a meet comprising of the top track athletes in New England amongst all Division I, II, and III institutions, UConn captured the team title with 164.50 points.

Sean Nunan raced in the 500 meter dash, crossing the finish line in 1:06.78, to place 15th out of 30 runners. In the weight throw, John Dayton recorded a distance of 53-05.50 as he finished 19th in the competition.

Several student-athletes will be competing this upcoming weekend at ECAC Division III Championships at the Armory in New York City.
